Hong Kong Disneyland is to set strict limits on ticket prices and numbers of people in the park during the Spring Festival in an attempt to avoid last year's chaos.
The Shanghai Daily reports that Hong Kong Disneyland will host no more than 34,000 visitors at any one time during the Spring Festival and have kept their ticket prices at HK$350 for the duration of the event.
Disney has also reportedly suggested that their ticket sales will cease once capacity has been reached, although it will save quotas for people with date-specific special day tickets.
The Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year Festival is one of the most important celebrations on the Chinese calendar. The Year of the Pig begins on February 18 and the park will be celebrating with a visit from the God of Wealth, but the park will run the Festival from the start of February to the beginning of March. From Saturday 17 February to Saturday 24 February, the park will be under Special Ticket Day conditions. Expect large crowds if last year’s infamous guest chaos is anything to go by.
