Our Spy SAM has snapped a few photos of the construction at HKDL for the forthcoming expansion, as well as safety in the knowledge that the development applications have gone through council!
Unless you have been living under a HKDL-shaped rock for the last 12 months or so, you will be aware that our favourite Disney theme park is expanding by three themed areas by 2014. We've been patiently waiting to see the construction begin and on our Spy SAM's recent trip, a rather familiar flock of cranes was seen circling behind Adventureland.
SAM comments: "The Tree House is the great place to see the works in Grizzly Gulch, but since it's rehab this month, we can't get any updates there. And the works both in Mystic Point and Toy Story Land are blocked by Jungle River Curise, nothing could be seen before TSL opens. If you will take a trip to HKDL, try staying in Hollywood Hotel as TSL is right there in front of the Hotel".
We've also got links SAM has sent us from the HK Building Department's March and April Monthly Reports that confirm construction approval. The March report makes mention of "Hong Kong Disneyland - Substation 208" while the April report reiterates the Substation 208, but also makes specific mention of some buildings:
Don't forget that you can find even more photos of the expansion and development in our Hong Kong Disneyland Expansion Gallery!
