Hong Kong Disneyland Spreads the Magic with Local Community

Story

Park Update

Hong Kong Disneyland today announced a community initiative with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) to provide an enchanting experience for guests from social service organizations and users groups.

As part of the celebrations for the Park's First Year Anniversary, tickets are available for distribution to around 320 member organizations under the network of HKCSS to share the joy in August and September.

More than 40 guests from the local community groups visited Hong Kong Disneyland to kick off the initiative. They were greeted at Castle Forecourt of the Park by HKDL Managing Director Bill Ernest and guest favorite Donald Duck and Daisy Duck before setting out for a magical day at the Park. Each guest was presented with a lanyard with colorful pins to experience Disney world's famous pin trading tradition.

"Hong Kong Disneyland is pleased to be working once again with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to benefit the community. We are excited to be celebrating our First Year Anniversary together with the people of Hong Kong," said Ernest.

"The Council has provided tremendous support for this initiative, and we look forward to continuing our involvement with them and other community organizations in our efforts to bring magic to the lives of all our guests."

Ms Christine Fang, Chief Executive of HKCSS showed deep appreciation to such initiative for it demonstrated a good partnership between business and social service sectors in promoting Corporate Social Responsibilities and building a caring community.

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is providing a central point of contact for distributing the Park tickets to its member organizations. Various community groups will be able to enjoy a full day of park experience. They will also get buy-one-get-one-free meal coupons prior to their visits.
