Park Update

Spy ReportOur Chief Spy took advantage of a break in the recently turbulent weather in Hong Kong and took a trip over to the park we love to love. She gives us a peek at what is happening with the Adventureland construction, as well as sharing the fun of her day. We also plug our new galleries, including one dedicated to the Chief Spy!

Our Chief Spy writes:

We got to the park at around 1:00 today. My husband commented on how dead it was. First stop...Small World. On the way into the ride, there are lots of new banners put up. The spouse was impressed with the ride, and the little one chatted the entire ride telling him what everything was. I have to say, it was so hot that the air conditioning didn't seem to be working at all in there. We were about to go get Ice cream, but mom noticed a $10 increase in the price. Skipped that. Over to Turtle Talk. They've run out of stickers, and now they only give them to the kids Crush talks to. Katherine of course was full of chatter and managed a couple. As we left, Paper gave us a couple of Turtle talk book marks. Dude...

Tarzan was next, and I have the pictures to proove it! As hard as I tried, no one would tell me what it was. I did get a "Katherine might not like it", and a "Katherine will enjoy part of it". If she's not going to like it it has to be scary!

Over for the WaterWorks parade, and Buzz was later. Around 4:30 It started pouring again. Blue skies one minute, rain the next. We ate a hamburger, and then had to leave the park so I could get to work.

I noticed that EVERYTHING in the park has increased in price. The kids hamburgers have gone from $25 to $32. Adult hamburgers are up to $48. Popsicles are now $12 and a single scoop icecream in Adventureland is $28. ($25 at Small world). The only thing I couldn't resist was a set of Rubik's cubes. (I have a... um...strange hobby)

There were no games out today, but the band did take a stroll down main street around 5:00.

It was a scorcher today. In the 4 hours we were in the park I've managed to turn into a Lobster. I have a lovely burn! Until next week.

  1. Sounds like there have been a few new financial year price hikes, albeit a bit above the rate of inflation?
