Call for Halloween Performers

Story

Park Update

HalloweenThis isn't Christmas this is Hong Kong and those are pretty lights. Hong Kong Disneyland puts out the call for performers for this year's Halloween festivities, giving us the first indication that there will be an event this year. Auditions are less than 2 weeks away!

Hong Kong Disneyland's Careers website has put out the call for performers for this year's Halloween activities. The advertisement reads:

Hong Kong Disneyland is seeking energetic performers to be part of the new 2007 Halloween Event. Performers must be available full-time from September 3, 2007, through October 31, 2007. All performers must be fluent in Cantonese.

The talent will be asked to read from a Cantonese script. The script will be provided at the audition.

Audition for Halloween Performers:
Date: 5 August 2007, Sunday
Time: 10:00am
Location: Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

Please email auditions@hongkongdisneyland.com to schedule an audition

The gang is all here!

The gang's all here!

While this gives us absolutely no indication whatsoever as to the nature of the Halloween festivities this year, at least we know that they are planning on keeping the 'seasonal' performances going throughout the year. Look for the decorations to go up early October, and then segue into the Christmas/New Year celebrations in November. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest that this year will see a haunted house walk-through attraction temporarily erected.

For our money, the existence of performers can only mean more parades and street performances throughout the Halloween period. We look forward to bringing you more information.
