With the expansion of Hong Kong's Ocean park, and the recent success of the Summer Passes, Hong Kong Disneyland looks set to fast-track the long-rumoured Raging Spirits and Pirates of the Caribbean. (Source: Sina News)
At the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Convention in Shanghai this week, Hong Kong Disneyland unveiled its three new Tomorrowland attractions.
However, Sina News goes on to say that in order to compete with the rapidly expanding Ocean Park, located on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong Disneyland will introduce Tokyo DisneySea's Raging Spirits rollercoaster in 2007. The Japanese rolllercoaster is a high-speed ride through faux ancient ruins, and features a 360 degree loop. This is similar to the rollercoaster upon which it is based - the Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril attraction at Disneyland Paris.
Pirates of the Caribbean is also mentioned as being in the planning stages.
While this is still officially just a rumour, it is a persistent one. We will, of course, keep you updated of any major developments.
