Disney's Official Site and new advertisements in Hong Kong confirm that Pirate Land Takeover will stick around at least until August. Guess those pirates renegotiated!

Our first clue was the shiny new interactive Explore Park Map on the Official website. In addition to adding video content to each of the attractions, it has included Pirate Land as the official name for Adventureland.

The second  clue was slightly more obvious: the Official website changed the closing date for the Pirate Takeover to "now through the Summer".

Now, one of our readers and contributors - Spy Bennett - confirms that television commercials tying Pirate Land to the forthcoming Mickey's WaterWorks and Animation Academy will be the main events through summer this year. He also adds that a Cast Member confirmed that Adventureland would remain Pirate Land until August.

So it seems that those original negotiations the pirates made with Bill Ernest have been renegotiated without all the fanfare of the first round of pirate talks. One can only assume that rather than sticking to the code, they followed more of a guideline.
