Park Update

Chinese New YearIt is a few days early, but Hong Kong Disneyland has let us know of how you can use their site to send holiday greetings to friends and loved ones. Plus it wouldn't be a holiday with out some groovy new merchandise - like a candy box! Mmm...candy...

PRESS RELEASE (February 11, 2007) The magic of Disney’s Chinese New Year has been extended to Hong Kong Disneyland’s website with the launch of a special new feature allowing people to experience the festive fun online.

Visitors to www.hongkongdisneyland.com are invited to print and send Disney Hui Chun, which feature special messages and Disney characters dressed in their finest Chinese outfits. The feature allows guests from all around the world to send Disney’s lucky greetings to their loved ones – no matter where they are.

Guests can choose from a variety of good wishes and lucky greetings, including “May the New Year Bring You Great Wisdom and Foresight” featuring Chip ‘N Dale; “May You Look Stunningly Gorgeous All Year Long” featuring Minnie Mouse and Daisy; and “Wishing You Infinite Luck and Fortune” featuring Mickey Mouse and Pluto.

The website also provides visitors with helpful information on how to best enjoy the Resort during Chinese New Year. The site includes magical journey ideas for families and friendship groups, as well as festive Park and hotel activities to celebrate Chinese New Year in true Disney style.

As of tomorrow, February 12, the exclusive Chinese New Year Limited Edition Pin Set will be available for purchase at a price of HK$398. Featuring the Pooh Family on their own for the very first time, the Pin Set is presented in a happy pink satin box with another two-deck box inside like a Chinese New Year candy box.

With only 300 sets available and featuring lucky greetings including “Have A Prosperous Year” and “May Your Career Soar High”, the Limited Edition Pin Set is the perfect Chinese New Year gift for family and friends.
